My Dad sent me a picture of Mom that was rather blurry, she was sitting in the living room with the furniture taking up most of the space. I wanted to give it a hand painted look. First I created a neutral background in a separate window. I then brought in the picture of Mom, blew it up to a larger size. Using the Magnetic Lasso tool I cropped her out and cut and pasted her in a different window. I changed to Channels from the Layers pallet and duplicated the green channel. Then using the Stylize/Find Edges, Other/Maximum, Noise/Median and Blur/Gaussian Blur tools, I Ctrl/Clicked on the duplicated green channel , clicked on RGB channel and drag/shift drop into the widow with the back ground. In the layers pallet choose overlay to give it a more blended look. |
