| Creating this picture began with Beth, my niece, giving me a 1x2" class photo of her. I turned it into her birthday card using Adobe Photoshop 5.5. After scanning her picture into Photoshop I gave it a resolution of 300 pixel/inch and re sized it to 4x6". The other component was taking a digital picture of a Bouganvilla plant next to the house. Using the lasso tool I removed Beth from the original, copied and pasted her to a new Window with a transparent background.. Removing the Bouganvilla by using Select, Color Range, I pasted them onto my new page creating another layer. Using various tools, filters and a Wacom drawing tablet I changed her photograph into this digital painting. |
